The Two Most Influential Men In My Life

A couple of days ago, I had a friend who came to Bangkok to share some portion of his life story and what one must do to be able to achieve it and the hard work and perseverance one needs to possess in order to succeed in life just as he has and he is to this day a very successful businessman. This man, one of the two most important man in my life is also a father figure to me. He has always stood by my side through thick and thin and has always been a source of encouragement and motivation in my life. Ong Hock Siew or Mr Ong as I have for years addressed him, is someone I look up to as a mentor. But make no mistake, as kind, humble and sincere the man he is, he is also very frank in his opinions. Believe me, if you think he will say things that you want to hear, you are greatly mistaken. And that is why I appreciate him and I have total respect for him,... for his honesty, integrity but most of all his compassion.

It was a great stay when Mr Ong put up with us the two days he was here in Bangkok. Chris, the other man who means the world to me, who is also my friend, my lover, my confidante, my most important significant other and my future husband, tried to as much as he could absorb all the teachings as well as the knowledge Mr Ong was giving. Chris is also a businessman actually, but of course nothing in comparison to Mr Ong. In speaking of years of experience, Chris is almost but not quite still a rookie as one would define it in the States. But Chris has had his share of success in the last couple of years as well, so they both speak the same language in terms of business, ... if you get my drift.

And so, I just wanted to share a little part of me and my life and the two men that I love and what they represent in my life so that the whole world will know who these men are and what they symbolise. Here are the two most amazingly brilliant role models in my life and I am blessed to have them as part of my life today.
