How to get a Thai Driving License from a foreign country license

Since 4 months we have been here, we have been walking each and every day, taken cabs, MRT and Sky train.
In fact, I've never walked so much in my whole life.
It was about time to get some kind of transportation. For the moment, a car is out of the question since the traffic is a total nightmare, we decided to get a motorcycle.
First step, I wanted to get a Thai driving license from my french license.
Not so complicated; just have your driving license translated to Thai by an approved translation Office, get it stamped by your embassy; then, go to the transportation office on Sukhumvit, opposite side of Soi 99 with those documents, plus your passport and your work permit.
You will only have to pass a few tests (view, reflexes), pay a fee, take the picture with their camera and you will see a brand new driving license coming out of the printer.

Then came the time to find a motorcycle. First we went to a few retailers and then we inquired on a few websites. I wanted to find a Honda CB400 and one day when I was coming back home, I was so surprised to see that someone in my building was selling the exact model I was looking for.
The deal was closed very fast and we are so happy now that we do not to have to walk so much anymore.
