Our One Year Anniversary

Today marks exactly one year since I left Chicago. So much has happened since Chris came to pick me up from O'Hare last year (2008). Since then life has undoubtedly been one hell of a roller coaster ride for us.

Some plans had to be changed, some had to be abandoned. Life took a drastic turn, in my opinion, and there was nothing that Chris and I could do but to adjust ourselves to the situation and to accept it as it was. With the business that Chris has invested in, we were suppose to have had a pretty good life with what the business was giving in the returns. However it did not quite turn out that way.

When the major shareholder and his wife ran off and left Thailand, everyone was screwed over big time and hence Chris had to resume the role of managing as well as running the business which was not producing any means of income, as the business was relatively new and it never got pushed off to a great start. So each and everyday was a challenge for us, physically, mentally and emotionally and sad to say that we are at the breaking point to having a nervous breakdown.

Fortunately today, after months of struggling and on our first anniversary, we have great news and that we have managed to secure a great deal with a group of very professional and reputable company/people to run and take over the management of our business. This is the best gift to Chris and me after months of ups and downs and finally we both see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Even though our social life has come to a halt, we have managed a couple of trips every now and then and even though never always a long vacation, the few short days have been very fruitful and vitalizing. Still despite the craziness and hecticness surrounding us, we still managed some good times together and I am very proud and thankful of Chris for all his patience, persistence, understanding but most of all unconditional love.

So here we are today, May 15th 2009, what a great gift to us to have the best news yet and now, a brighter future ahead of us without a doubt.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HONEY! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!
